Regular Member Test12345678910 Posted July 9 Regular Member Share Posted July 9 (edited) Hello, I‘m on dutasteride (0.5mg) and oral minoxidil(5mg) daily but I‘m not sure if I took my dose today i assume I forgot it. I usually take it in the morning (10-11 am) now we have almost 5 pm. Should I just skip it? Edited July 9 by Test12345678910

Regular Member HairRoss Posted July 9 Regular Member Share Posted July 9 (edited) I'd personally just take it the next day and continue as normal, trying to stick to a schedule if possible. I miss the odd day here and there and take my doses at irregular times and haven't noticed any adverse effects. My understanding is that the level of drugs in your system builds up over time and it takes quite a while, even longer in the case of dutasteride, as it has a greater half-life, for the level to go back to baseline so missing doses isn't the end of the world. Senior Member HappyMan2021 Posted July 9 Senior Member Share Posted July 9 i would say it doesn't matter....i am just guessing youd probably have to stop taking it for 10 days or more for it to actually matter. Dut is a med you are supposed to take every day for the rest of your life - so missing 1 day should not have any effect.
Senior Member TheGreatPretender Posted July 9 Senior Member Share Posted July 9 I usually take it asap if I miss the earlier night for example the next morning then I continue to take as usual. It shouldnt make a big difference anyway. Just make sure you dont forget it consistently.
Senior Member TorontoMan Posted July 9 Senior Member Share Posted July 9 Guys it isn't this serious. You can miss a day you won't suffer. Of course you want to take it consistently , but don't blow your brains out if you miss one day, you're fine.

Senior Member gillenator Posted July 11 Senior Member Share Posted July 11 A good time to take it is at the same time when you brush your teeth…we all brush our teeth several times per day, morning and at bedtime…so simply choose one.
