Regular Member baldmangetspaid Posted July 30 Regular Member Share Posted July 30 (edited) Hi All, I am based in NY and have had numerous consultations with doctors to try to find who will do the best work with my hair. I've met with Dr. Wesley, Konior, True and Dorin and Dr Reddy in London. I've also messaged with the Absolute Hair Clinic in Thailand and I've tried many times to reach out out to Dr. Nader in Mexico, but I never heard back. I've attached pictures here and I wanted to see if the extensive knowledge of this forum had any advice for me on the best doctor to deal with work that needs to be in the crown as well as the frontal hairline. Right now I'm leaning towards Dr. Reddy, but I've heard seen some more negative reviews recently. Most international doctors suggest 4,000 grafts over 2 days, while the ones in the US (Konior, Wesley etc) say 3,000 grafts in one day. Let me know who you think is best for a Norwood 4V. Price is not a big issue, close proximity would be helpful, but at the end of the day looking for the best result possible. Thanks! Edit for some more details: 38 year old male who has been experiencing hair loss for the past 7years. Gotten a lot worse post Covid - started taking Finasteride 3 years ago and Oral Minoxidil 2 years ago both of which have helped stabilize my hair loss. Also I'm just getting that i'm a Norwood 4v - open to other thoughts. Most doctors say my donor area is quite good. Thanks again! Regular Member baldmangetspaid Posted July 30 Author Regular Member Share Posted July 30 Thanks - yeah just trying to make the best decision. With Konior the issue is his waitlist - he doesn't have anything until 2026 at this point.

Yeah budget is less important, more so availability. Ideally want to to do it in the next 12 months if possible.

I would say its worth waiting more than a year for results that will last a lifetime

Let me reach out to them. Thank you!

I worry about results with him because he is the only doctor who told me I don't need to shave before the recipient area before my transplant. Every other doctor strongly recommend not doing no shave FUE so this is my worry with going with Wesley. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

While I understand the apprehension you ought to look at his no shave results with patients, especially those on the subreddit. They’ve had amazing results. I didn’t elect to go no shave but if I were to have a second session done I likely would without hesitation. Does it take more take to navigate the hairs? Sure, but he wouldn’t do it if it didn’t believe in it. One consideration for why not to is your hair would look uneven in spots and if you get shock loss it would look patchy. This and to simply make it easier on the doc is why I elected not to.
