Very low cost (30 cents/week) and simple topical dutasteride for maintenance of hairs 1x/week : trial on 500 peoples (16-35 yo), 5 years experience, using the contents of a 0.5mg capsule with 2ml lipophilic solvent and massaging the scalp :-)

Very interessting:

500 people (16-35 years) treated for 5 years with 0.5mg topical dutasteride once a week.

From commercial dutasteride 0.5mg capsule
=> pierce with a toothpick and squeeze the contents onto the head
=> Add 2ml of a lipofile solvent (locoid ?)
=> Massage just to distribute
=> Do not wash for at least 4 hours or until the next day

You can also make the mixture in a small container before application.

No spectacular results but very good maintenance over time.

Only 1x/week

Unfortunatly, he does not speak about sides effects.

Very interesting results. I think this should barely have any DHT hit as there was study done with topical dut of 0.4mg+microneedling 1x/week and they saw good efficacy and 5% DHT impact.
