Regular Member Rappy Posted September 6 Regular Member Share Posted September 6 (edited) I'm a Diffuser and been wondering something. Should i select a surgeon that is skilled on Diffusing pattern or can all of them handle it? I've narrowed down a few surgeon but I'm not sure if i should look for someone that is more into diffusing pattern. Regular Member Ccd99 Posted September 6 Regular Member Share Posted September 6 Yes you absolutely should select a surgeon who specialises in handling diffuse cases as not all can do it well or are even willing to do it. Who have you narrowed it down to? Consultation with Dr Bruno Ferreira - Nov 2023 - ✅ - see link below for more info First surgery with Dr Bruno Ferreira - Sept 2024 - ✅ - 3200 grafts to frontal third and partial mid-scalp - link to thread Second surgery with Dr Bruno Ferreira - May 2025 - ❌ - 2500-3000 grafts to remainder of mid-scalp and crown + touch-up
Regular Member Rappy Posted September 6 Author Regular Member Share Posted September 6 (edited) I'm considering many. Bruno Ferreira (around 1,5 year waiting time), Pekiner (difficult to get a hold of), Dr Keser (difficult to get a hold of), Maras, Bisanga. Have I missed any? Who would you recommend for a Diffuser? Regular Member Ccd99 Posted September 6 Regular Member Share Posted September 6 (edited) I can definitely recommend Dr Bruno Ferreira - I am in Portugal just now recovering (had my 2-day OP earlier this week which I will post about soon) - I am also a diffuse thinner like yourself. As you wait for a surgeon date you may want to consider starting medical therapy, in my own case it has made a huge difference and really boosted the thickness of the diffuse hairs. Another surgeon that is on the rise and very skilled in diffuse cases is Dr. Ratchathorn - you may want to look into her as well. Regular Member Eli_Avdikian Posted September 6 Regular Member Share Posted September 6 To be perfectly honest with you, the only area where I see some diffuse thinning is in your midscalp. Your front (with the exception of a samll forelock) and crown are pretty barren.
Senior Member Hair4Days Posted September 6 Senior Member Share Posted September 6 This doesn’t seem to be a classic diffuse-loss situation. I would imagine every clinics game plan would be to graft the whole recipient as if there wasn’t anything there. Losing what’s there via shock loss also most likely wouldn’t matter as it doesn’t provide much of a cosmetic impact currently
Regular Member 4chanhrn Posted September 8 Regular Member Share Posted September 8 Stick and place practitioners are best for diffuse cases. Bekir Bek, Nader are good options. Panchaprateep doesn't use stick and place but has stellar diffuse work. Probably best in the world. But yea, I'm not sure I would call you a diffuse case. Regular Member Rappy Posted September 9 Author Regular Member Share Posted September 9 Excellent. Thank you all. I'm on Fin, Minox, Keto and Laser. I guess i don't need to consider any special doctor and just pick a proper one? Can this be repaired you think? Rougly how many grafts would you guess?
