One year since a hair transplant with FueCapilar

Hey everyone, I have put this off for a little while, but I thought I would share my journey with you all.

Last August I returned from a contract abroad and I had had enough. I noticed that, aside from wearing bandanas onstage for shows I had also started to wear them every day, for anything I did. I had become super conscious of my hairline, which only exacerbated the five head I already have.

I posted on here at 33 years old when I noticed a maturing hairline, but it got worse, without my crown being affected. I was taking finisteride for around 14months before I finally got home and contacted FueCapilar, in Turkey. As luck would have it I got offered a cancellation for the following week and, having squirrelled away some money, decided to book my flights and go. As I was doing it last minute and flights were expensive, they agreed to knock some money off... I also needed to keep the top of my hair for a few shows I had in the month following, where I would use bandanas to disguise the new growth. They reluctantly agreed, so I booked my flights and 24 hours later was flying to istanbul.

I was greeted at the airport late on sunday night and driven straight to a hospital, where my bloods were taken and then I was transported to the hotel, where I could get some sleep before a 9am start the next morning.

Picked up again, bright and early, I headed into the hospital where I met Dr Turan and his translator. We discussed what I wanted and a final graft number was decided upon. Then I had the line drawn on my head, my hair tied up and pinned down, and the rest shaved off.

There was no real pain with any injections and I felt no pain throughout the entire procedure.

I had 2130 grafts. it took 4 sessions of about 90/120mins each. I had lunch each day and they drive me to shops to get dinner as well. They were just lovely.

The only real discomfort was around 8-12 days after the op, trying to sleep on a neck pillow.

I was VERY careful with it afterwards and followed all instructions to the LETTER.

I am very happy with the results. Please feel free to ask question.

Lew

Very happy. To be honest, as soon as the scaring is there, you already feel better... Just seeing where your hairline WILL be. I think initial cost was around €3400 (with VAT)... flights were last minute and I spent an extra day there. Prob around £4500 all in. Wasnt a large area but was densly packed.

Honestly, for what I got it felt like a bargain. How much would you spend to feel good about yourself? Priceless, really.
