Yago Marcos
Hey everyone, I'm Yago, 22 years old. I decided to share my hair transplant experience here on the forum because I always had a lot of questions, and I think it might help those in the same situation. In total, I had 6,794 grafts and 13,768 hairs transplanted. Recently, I had my transplant with Dr. Pittella. Even though I'm quite young, I decided with the doctor to transplant this large number of grafts so I wouldn’t have to worry about my hair loss anytime soon. The process was much smoother than I expected. The surgery lasted 11 hours (seriously, I didn’t even notice the time passing). Not gonna lie, I was a bit nervous before starting, but in the end, the pain wasn’t too bad, and now I’m just feeling some mild discomfort during the recovery. I'm currently in the recovery phase, taking some meds and carefully following the doctor's recommendations for the transplanted area. They say the first few months are the most critical, so I'm making sure to follow everything by the book. The most annoying part is sleeping on my back and being careful not to touch anything, but hey, it's part of the process, right? I haven’t seen major results yet, but I’m excited for what's coming. From what I’ve researched (and talked to the doctor), the hair might shed a bit in the first few months and then grow back stronger. So, patience and focus! I'll be sharing some photos from the clinic as well. If anyone has questions or wants to chat, feel free to reach out. For those who've been through this, how was your experience? I’ll keep updating as things progress. ty!
Senior Member asterix0 Posted 6 hours ago Senior Member Share Posted 6 hours ago Wow this is quite the case, considering how young you are and how much native hair you still have left. Will be following closely. Are you on any DHT blockers, minoxidil?
