I haven't read your whole story, but did you already have an appointment with Dr. Zarev? If you are an "unscheduled" patient, would you have spent €97,650? It's an absurd price, but these are the prices he charges for patients who have already had a transplant in another clinic, as shown in the table I attach.

Zarev honours the per graft rate at the time the consultation was booked. I believe GN got in at the previous off-schedule price of 9EUR per graft. I have a consultation with him next year which I booked a year and a half ago which in on-schedule and would be 5EUR per graft. Whether I can afford it or not, I might just go ahead to annoy GN :D

Thank you for the detailed write up and review @GeneralNorwood. This is the most detailed review of Dr. Zarev so far 👏.

Were you able to ask what his workload for a week? You had surgery monday and tuesday...  does he have scheduled surgeries for wednesday and thursday too? I know from previous reviews he does consultations on Fridays... Im trying to figure out how many surgeries he does in a week and if he ever does have a break in a month or in a year explaining his long wait list.

Wednesday was the day for consultations. I visited Dr. Zarev in the morning, and later, when I was at the reception, I saw two guys waiting for a consultation. Later, I met with Dr. Zarev again around 3 pm

Today, I had to come strictly at 11 am for a quick check-up with Dr. Zarev, because it was surgery day

His office looks as clean as his work. Happy growing, thanks for sharing another review of him 🙏

Actually, it is the patient's room. I didn't have time to take photos in his office because we were so focused on the tasks.

Yes, I met with Dr. Zarev in March. He kept our agreement and honored the old price – 9 EUR per graft

Looks very good!! What did they tell you to pay attention to before and after the operation? I’m planning to get a hair transplant too, but my budget won’t stretch for Zarev, and I don’t think I can wait that long either! :)

When I talked with Dr. Zarev 10 days before surgery, he told me to avoid contact with groups of people so I wouldn't get an infection.

One day before surgery, during a blood test, the nurse instructed me to drink a lot of water the day before surgery, but on the day of surgery, not to drink too much (so I wouldn't have to run to the toilet).

The day after the second day of surgery, I met with Dr. Zarev. He cleaned my head, applied cream to the donor. After that, he gave me instructions, and explained them. Basically, he told me how to wash my head safely with antibacterial shampoo without touching the scalp, and how to apply "repairing soothing cream" to the donor area using a double-mirror setup.

I advise you to take a loan and take advantage of this "steal price" to get the highest possible number of grafts 😂

Today i was mostly chilling. As i previously mentioned, I met with Zarev at 11am for 5 minute check-up. But of course... He took photos again :D He basically takes them everytime he sees you. Yesterday i got over 400 photos on a pendrive. This is not the end 😅

I had this thought today: there is no more "island" of hair on my head. Now, there is a whole continent :D

Been following your case for a while. Everything from Zarev looks excellent and your post op shots look absolute mint. Couple of quick questions:

1. No implantation in lower crown so that medication can do it's work?

2. Any plans to do temple work in future? I thought previous work was poor. I noticed Zarev didn't touch outside part of temple.

Dr. Zarev always draws the border between the recipient and donor areas based on the local characteristics of the patient's hair.

He implanted in the crown above the red line. Below the red line and above the next purple line is an area in the lower crown prone to DHT, which, according to Zarev, will eventually fall out, even with medication.

For now, I didn't even consider implanting below the red line, so I never questioned it. Would you implant there? I think, for now, it would be a waste of grafts

Zarev said that the temple points require partial extraction. Basically, the direction of all the hair in this area is backward, which is unnatural. However, it doesn't make sense to extract all of it now. Anyway, it is a matter of a separate procedure.

400 Photos and counting, the kind of dedication Dr. Zarev has is insane. I doubt any doctors take these many photos!!
