Senior Member kaounis Posted July 20, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted July 20, 2009 I've had two HT and smoked all the time, even during the surgery, never affected growth or healing. But if you can quit, better for your health. Just a thought from the peanut gallery...
Senior Member Forrest Gump Posted July 20, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted July 20, 2009 I have heard from others that smoking can affect the blood circulation which in turn can affect the growth of the grafts. However, I am yet to get this confirmed by a doctor.
Senior Member hair_care Posted July 21, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted July 21, 2009 I think smoking can even affect the healing process, especially if you are over 40. Better quit a few months before the HT. Best is to kick the habit for life. Smoking kills!
