Regular Member razi shah Posted August 17, 2009 Regular Member Share Posted August 17, 2009 Hi every body My friend recommended me this web site and I found it very useful. I used to wear patch for the last 7 years. I had my hair restoration surgery about 14 months ago from Pakistan and I am quite satisfied with my new look. I got 4114 grafts roughly covering 5 to 6 fingers area .Now I am planning for my second session in December 2009 to cover my remaining area. I took pictures during my session and requested my doctor to give me picture of my stitched area.
Senior Member splitting hairs Posted August 17, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted August 17, 2009 Hey man, the work looks decent. Who performed your surgery? Do you have any topdown shots? _________________________________________________ Propecia since July 2008 2201 Grafts with Dr Lorenzo on 19.10.22 - See my write up here:

Senior Member Sparse Posted August 18, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted August 18, 2009 Based on the 3 post-HT pics shown, it looks like you've had a very strong result, with a marked improvement in appearance. It would be great if you could add some pictures of the top and crown, and provide more details about the surgeon and procedure (with more pics post-HT, 1-month, 2-month, etc., if available . . .) Senior Member Abby Posted September 23, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted September 23, 2009 Did the Dr do the grafting or was it done by his technicians. I must say the closure is neat very tidy. Senior Member Dr. Mohammad Humayun Mohma Posted October 29, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted October 29, 2009 there is no magic when doctor is putting the grafts as oppose to well trained tech. Its all about how you make sites which will control the angle of growth and density. Tech just have to know how to handle the graft and all they have to do is put it in a slit that is made by doctor. Its a matter of time and experience. If a tech has 10 years of experience and doctor 4, trust me i would have it done by the tech, you do not need much of the intelligence to put a graft in a slit just care and gentleness. Having said that, if i am doing needle and place as we go, then ofcourse the doctor needs to do all the grafts, because he has to control the angle of exit of the graft, which is paramount for a natural looking hair transplant. I do not think that all the top surgeons in the world do placing themselves. they always have techs to do or one side is done by them and other by tech. Some doctors do placing because they want to cut the cost as well. So, in my experience a good trained tech is as good as a doctor if she is doing exactly what she or he was trained for. I know some disagree with me and I respect that point of view but i do not think just because a docor is doing placing his results are superior then those who do not. --- I am a medical advisor to Lexington International and Hairmax. What ever I say is my personal opinion. Dr. Mohmand is recommended on the Hair Transplant Network
Regular Member razi shah Posted October 30, 2009 Author Regular Member Share Posted October 30, 2009 Dear I do agree with you. But on the other hand I think its not the matter of saving cost by planting grafts.Even on this forum I have seen top notch docs placing grafts by themselves .I don't think so they are saving cost??¦I feel like they want to put perfection in their work and that sense of perfection will make them feel proud. I know plenty of guys while having hair restoration procedure, doc came only for twice??¦you can say doc must be busy engaging new clients and couldn't manage to visit the patient during surgery. Hair techs do have a lot more experience than docs but still they don't match with doctor capabilities..that's what I believe.
